The CEO of the European Centre for Middle East Studies ;Mr Sattar Jabbar Rahman, participated in Geneva Peace Week 2024, accompanied by Ms. Rihem Bchini; the executive Assistant in his private office. This event took place from October 14 to 18 at the Maison de la Paix in Geneva and included online participation.
Throughout the week, a variety of topics related to peacebuilding and security were addressed ; including human security, conflict resolution and the role of women and youth in achieving sustainable peace.
The Centre engaged in dialogue sessions and discussions aimed at enhancing international cooperation and joint efforts to realize common visions for building a more secure and stable future. Our participation in this important event represents a step towards empowering institutions in the region and increasing the international community’s awareness of contemporary issues in the Middle East
