The research paper talks about the perceptions of collective and historical memory about the 1920 revolution in Iraq, and its prominent role in the growth of national sentiment in this country and its vicinity in the Arab Orient, as well as its contribution to raising national awareness and resisting foreign influence in a group of important events through contemporary Iraqi history, where it represented this revolution an important anchor in the emergence of the modern Iraqi state, as it contributed to the reunification of all Iraqis in the face of the British occupation and it affected the Arab world, in terms of reviving the spirit of Arab national renaissance and encouraging the resistance to the occupier. This memory, which can be used as a basis for rebuilding the national state in Iraq after the return of sectarianism and the spread of corruption during recent decades, which may constitution a model for other countries that suffer from the same problems in the Iraqi neighborhood, such as Syria and Lebanon, thus improving the Arab and regional political climate and give him an opportunity to progress and prosperity
