A call to stop the war and a call for the continuation of the Sudanese national dialogue

The Sudanese people are facing difficult days amidst the ongoing fighting between the conflicting parties, which threatens Sudan with the outbreak of a civil war with unfortunate consequences. It also blocks the path of democratic transformation, threatens the path of development, and warns of many tragedies and calamities.
The historical responsibility today must be borne by all Sudanese national and democratic forces to stand up to this dangerous slide that may turn the future of Sudan into a dark horizon if this devastating conflict continues. For all these reasons, we find it necessary to speed up the formation of a broad national front against this war, and to call for an expanded dialogue that brings together all the conflicting parties away from the delusion of the gun.
In this context, the call is also directed to all intellectuals, academics, writers and artists in Sudan and in all Arab countries to stand up to this internal war and work to build a pluralistic democratic future in Sudan, a future in which development and public and private freedoms are strengthened and social and economic rights are enshrined.
